I saw this on Twitter one day.
"In a perfect world, there would be no mirrors, because every girl would have a perfect guy to tell her that she looks beautiful."
I started wondering about the validity of this statement. Mirrors truly aren't for ourselves, they're there so that we can look presentable in front of others. Did this start with a group of primal humans gazing into a pool of water together thinking, "Gosh I wonder if she knows she looks that bad *pause* oh crap do I really look like that??"
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
"Looks don't count for everything, but they do count for something."
Image, unfortunately, defines us. It can determine whether you are given a job opportunity, internship, etc. Now, this may be true, but that does not mean that we have to follow the masses.
Image may define you, but you write your own dictionary.
Be original.
Yeah this post is short, but I just wanted to get my feelings out there :)
